Summary of the most interesting presentations

This year’s ACC meeting has had tremendous news for cardiologists and cardiac surgeons. A tremendous amount of new data, confirmation of some old impressions and a lot of controversies were presented in forms of randomized clinical trials, oral contributions and expert panels.
The purpose of this review is to provide cardiologists and internists with the most important information presented, in a summarized and fast manner. Many of the pictures in this section are actually taken from slides prepared for presentations about this topics.
It is important to note that many of the following information is not yet published, and as such should not be viewed as definitive, as it is subject to mistakes.
