I am 24 years old and suffer from extreme water retention, or so I have been told that is what it is. I get severe swelling, everyday in my legs from the knee down. My legs get white spots on them and ache like crazy. It gets so bad that my calves swell to the size of my thighs. Some days are worse than others, but I can't remember the last time they didn't swell. This has been going on for several years. My doctor has put me on medication for this. I believe it is called apohydrochlorithide, so something like that, 25mg one tablet per day. Unfortunately, these pills aren't helping very much. I am starting to wonder if maybe this could be something other than water retention. I do tae bo 3 times per week. If anyone can offer suggestions or remedies I would be extremely grateful.
